0830 Cross the river

0900 Board the van

  1. Depart from Stong Resort
  1. Reach Stong base camp. Set up camp. Rest and prepare lunch
  1. Lunch
  1. Rest and Relax. Visit waterfall.

1800 Prepare dinner

  1. Dinner
  1. Rest & Relax
  1. Sleep

Day 3 – 26 May

0700 Rise & shine

0800 Breakfast.

0900 Break camp

  1. Depart for Stong Hill
  1. Reach campsite (junction of Ayam and Stong hill). Lunch
  1. Set off for Stong Hill

1500 Reach Stong hill summit

  1. Descent summit
  1. Reach campsite. Prepare dinner.
  1. Dinner
  1. Rest & Relax
  1. Sleep

Day 4 – 27 May

0700 Rise & shine

0800 Breakfast. Break camp

0900 Depart for Gunung Ayam

1200 Reach summit. Lunch

1300 Descent to campite

1500 Reach campsite. Pack up.

1600 Descent to stong base camp

1800 Reach campsite. Prepare dinner.

1900 Dinner

2000 Rest & Relax

2300 Sleep

Day 5- 28 May

0800 Rise & shine

0900 Breakfast. Break camp

1000 Depart to stong hill resort/ Alternative to have lunch and wash up at Stong hill resort

  1. Transport from resort to river
  1. Check in guest house. Wash up and relax
  1. Lunch
  1. Depart for caving
  1. Dinner

Cost: $180-200 - member

Cost includes all transportation, insurance and basic outdoor training.

First briefing – 21st April
1st training – 8th May
2nd training – basic outdoor camp craft – 12th May (compulsory for all participants)
3rd training – 12th May

4th training – 19th May

Only those with 75% attendance for training will be accepted. (75%, about 3 sessions, with valid reasons and proof of personal make-up training).

The main purpose of the campcraft training is to introduce basic outdoor skills to members and to initiate members to into Bedok CC, X-venture and the trekking group.

Content of the training:
1) Basic information on outdoor trekking, eg. Backpack, shoe, clothes etc
2) Overview of the camp equipments
3) Pitching of tents
4) Simple first aid knowledge in tropical terrain
