Belumut Trek

Gunung Belumut is an easily accessible mountain and yet not as crowded as Mt Ophir.

It is 3313ft/1010m tall; it is a strenuous climb for those less fit as it is uphill almost all the way to the false and true summits of Belumut.

On this expedition you will spend 1 night camping out in tents on the mountain top.

The estimated distance from the foot to the top is 12 km. No technical skills are required for the climb.

One would be walking along a clearly marked jungle trail that is well-trodden.

En-route to the false summit, you would have to scramble across an eroded sandy cliff.

The top of Gunung Belumut stands at 3313ft/1010m. A pyramid-like rock pinnacle marks the highest point. After a night stay, we will descend to set off home.
